The 1971 Open Day was held in Harrington Hall, Lyne Road, a few yards from our then club rooms in the former Mission House.
The main showpiece wasn’t our finescale OO (i.e., too fine for Tri-ang Hornby flanges) layout, Much Bickering (see the 1979 Model Railway Constructor Annual if you want to know more).
